Elation When Writing

I write a lot and sometimes I wonder if I write so much between Demand, Yahoo!, all of my blogs, and school that I have lost the feeling of elation when I get a new publishing credit or cross another plateau. I think maybe part of that is because I have larger plans now that just writing post after post and article after article.

I have a few different lifestyle things to get in the back pocket first, but after they are done I plan on writing some ePubs for businesses and the self-employed and working on drafts of some book manuscripts. I want to write a variety of eBooks and then seek an agent and publisher for a specific fiction volume I have in mind. Ultimately the last part of that will probably take several years but the lesser goals of the business work and eBooks shouldn’t take too long to get rolling after I get a few things sorted out here at home. I think the idea that something big is just across the horizon has me looking at today as the stepping stone it is instead of the end-all be-all that it also is.

There’s not much reward for writing on Yahoo any more. I couldn’t sustain the whole article writing thing. I’m on to fiction. I’m trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge Blogs this month.

I write for Yahoo! (Used to write for Demand.) I get burnt out with article writing. It’s my fiction writing that keeps me going.

Hello, Fellow Challenger, from #401-Rockin’Chair Reflections! I think, when writing becomes what you do, it settles in your mind and you less impress yourself. I can’t say that’s how Hemingway felt, but it’s just an opinion I’ve come to after so many years. Have a great day!
